Some teachers believe that every child is exceptional. This may be so, but why are there so few exceptional adults? Does something happen between childhood and adulthood to whittle away our talents? Or are the standards higher for adults?
There is much talk about being exceptional in the workplace and calls for demonstrating extraordinary skills. But if all of our leaders were to become exceptional, then there would be no ordinary leaders remaining.
