GLY Construction

Taylor
Bryce Taylor joined GLY Construction of Bellevue as a project executive, assigned primarily to the firm's business development efforts. Taylor is a former 23-year employee of Lease Crutcher Lewis. He has worked with GLY's top executives over the years through industry associations, such as the Associated General Contractors and NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. He holds a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering and structural engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

PSI

Sam Hyatt became manager of Professional Service Industries' Wal-Mart Washington Special Project. Hyatt is WABO/ICC and nuclear densometer certified. He previously worked in PSI's Salt Lake City office and is now based in its Mountlake Terrace office. PSI is an independent engineering and testing firm headquartered in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.

Precision Door Service

Precision Door Service named industry veteran Rick Kennard to the new role of general manager of operations for its Commercial Division. Kennard is overseeing all commercial field operations in Washington, Idaho, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. He is initially focusing on Western Washington. The division repairs and maintains commercial and industrial doors, gates and equipment.

Hampton Lumber Mill

Darrington-based Hampton Lumber Mill completed the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Voluntary Protection Program, an audit that recognizes a company's significant commitment to safety, and received Star status. The rating is the highest VPP level. The VPP program is administered in Washington by the state Department of Labor and Industries.

Andersen Construction

Portland's Andersen Construction is marking its 60th year in business while its Boise office turns 10 years old and its Seattle office finishes up its first year of operation.

Cascade Windows

Cascade Windows, a privately held vinyl window and patio door manufacturer, donated windows to the Home Builder's Association 2010 Showcase Home in Salem, Ore. The Showcase Home, part of this year's 2010 Tour of Homes, is built and sold to promote affordable homes and housing in the area. The tour of 30 homes runs until Sunday. Cascade has production plants in Spokane, Portland and Salt Lake City.

Showplace Inc.

Kelleran Larson
Redmond-based Showplace Inc. has merged with Colour Painting & Construction, Malia's Interiors and Kelleran Custom Homes to create a full-service residential construction firm under the Showplace name. Bruce Kelleran, former Showplace president and CEO, is now board chairman. Nathan Larson is the new firm's president and CEO. He previously was president of Colour Painting & Construction. Malia Kelleran Larson was appointed vice president. Brad Kelleran, former president of Kelleran Custom Homes, will serve with Larson on the board of directors.

Parr Lumber

The Parr Co. opened a new Parr Lumber location at 3808 N. Sullivan Road, Spokane Valley. Tim Kellar is yard manager and sales are managed by Jason Behunin, Parr's director of sales. Kellar will report to regional manager Tim Jeffries. Parr has been serving the Spokane market for many years and the new yard will allow it to expand in the area. Parr operates 40 facilities in Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona and Utah which include pro/retail building material yards, contractor-focused facilities and cabinet outlets. It is headquartered in Hillsboro, Ore.
