Contest will decide which projects get funding for historic restoration

  • A list of 25 historic sites in this region will be posted at the Partners in Preservation Web site on April 14. The public can vote through May 12.

    The American Express Foundation is giving away a total of $1 million in grants to help restore historic places in the Puget Sound region, and the public will decide the winner.

    The nonprofit National Trust for Historic Preservation and the philanthropic arm of American Express are sponsoring the program called Partners in Preservation.
