8 firms win NWAIA awards

The Northwest Washington chapter of the American Institute of Architects has given out its 2011 Architectural Design Awards.

There are four levels of awards: honor, merit, citation and honorable mention. The Glen Hunt Award recognizes integration between architecture and landscape, and the young architect/intern award recognizes talented young designers.
