SEATTLE — King County Executive Dow Constantine has signed an executive order to reform the county's procurement and business process. The change was to make the process more efficient and easier to navigate.
County agencies will now set a goal of using small contractors and suppliers for at least half their direct voucher purchases and purchase orders under $5,000. Agencies must also try for least one quote from a small business for purchases between $5,000 and $24,999.
