$617K embezzled in Clallam County

PORT ANGELES (AP) — A former cashier in the Clallam County treasurer's office has been charged with embezzling more than $617,000.

The state attorney general filed the felony theft charge against Catherine Betts on Tuesday in Clallam County Superior Court.
