HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A Montana accounting firm faces lawsuits from six current or former farm and ranch owners who say they lost millions of dollars in real estate investments the firm advised them to make.
The complaints allege Anderson ZurMuehlen and a brokerage partnership called Acquiron it helped create with Helena real estate broker Rick Ahmann promised safe and secure investments in income-producing commercial properties while helping ranchers avoid capital gains taxes on the sale of properties.
