AGC staffer Earl Bell dies

SEATTLE — Earl Bell, who served three decades with the Associated General Contractors, died earlier this month from cancer.

Bell had been living in Arizona with his wife, Robynn, since he retired in 1995. He was 80 years old.

Bell served in the Marine Corps as a medical evacuation specialist during the Korean conflict. He later joined the AGC's Mountain Pacific Heavy Highway Chapter. Most of his 30-plus years at the local AGC chapter were spent as director of labor relations, where he brought people together under difficult circumstances to resolve their differences.

Bell often flew with fellow AGC employee Dick Bristow on business and personal flights. He was elected as an honorary member of the AGC of Washington following his retirement.
