Bainbridge parishioners fund faith center

The 23,000-square-foot St. Cecilia Faith Center is expected to open in June.

The 900 or so families that worship at St. Cecilia Parish on Bainbridge Island made a pledge before the economy fell apart to fund the church's $5.6 million Faith Center. Even though times became tough, the parishioners stood by their promise, which allowed the church to start construction in June of last year on the 23,000-square-foot building at Madison Avenue and High School Road.
