Pierce County gets $4.3M energy grant

This week, Pierce County received a $4.37 million grant to improve energy efficiency and conservation. The grant came through the U.S. Department of Energy from the federal stimulus.

The money will fund a package of projects approved by Pierce County Executive Pat McCarthy that range from home weatherization to upgrading traffic signals.
