Pipeline to Hanford may go under river

RICHLAND (AP) — The Energy Department wants to build a natural gas pipeline that would go under the Columbia River to reach the Hanford nuclear reservation.

Cascade Natural Gas will be paid up to $5 million to help prepare an environmental impact statement. Cascade also would supply the natural gas.
