Futurewise has launched a new effort to promote healthy neighborhoods by providing more affordable housing as well as better access to pedestrian, bicycle and transit facilities.
It is called the Transit-Oriented Communities Program, and includes a traveling gallery exhibit as well as technical help for local jurisdictions. The program is described in “Transit-Oriented Communities: A Blueprint for Washington State,” which was written by Futurewise, Transportation Choices Coalition and the design firm GGLO.
