Homes sales up, prices are down

KIRKLAND — The number of houses and condos that sold last year was 7.4 percent higher than in 2010 but the total value of those sales was $16.7 billion, or 5 percent lower than in 2010.

The Northwest Multiple Listing Service yesterday released year-end data. The information is for most counties in Western Washington and a handful of counties east of the Cascades.
