City puts 4 attorneys into police precincts

The City Attorney's Office is assigning four attorneys to work in police precincts to help deal with complex public safety and regulatory issues in neighborhoods.

The move is part of a newly funded precinct liaison program. The city attorneys will help police navigate rules on topics such as chronic nuisance properties, marijuana dispensaries, liquor licenses and nightlife regulations.
