Rainier Beach High not a landmark; $238M replacement planned

John W. Maloney was the original architect on the school whose design reflects many of the ideas of mid-century modernist architecture. Bassetti Architects is designing the new multi-story school.

Seattle's Landmarks Preservation Board recently declined to nominate Rainier Beach High School as a city landmark.
