Seatle law firm Carney Badley Spellman announced the election of Chris Wright as vice President of the litigation department on its board of directors. Wright's legal practice focuses on construction law and commercial disputes. In addition, Patrick Lamb has been re-elected as director at large and Joe Wallin has been elected as director at large. Lamb focuses his practice on corporate, commercial, and business matters. Wallin focuses his practice on early stage and growth companies.

Cushman & Wakefield recently announced that its Alison Beddard has been named managing principal for our state; she'll move from the firm's Salt Lake City office to Seattle. Kidder Mathews recently announced some changes to its West Coast property management team. Erin French will become executive VP for the firm's Northwest and Northern California regions. She previously managed properties in the south Puget Sound area. Succeeding her for that portfolio will be Jan Greene, a 25-year veteran in the field. And his prior responsibilities now shift to Shelley Ryan, also a practiced hand in property management. KM estimates that it now manages about 71 million square feet on the West Coast, spanning most if not all asset classes.

CenterCal Properties

Ramey

CenterCal Properties, which has a significant local footprint, has announced that Craig Ramey has joined the firm to oversee its Bay Area and Pacific Northwest operations, which now total about 3.5 million square feet. He makes the move from Regency Centers. CenterCal founder Fred Bruning said in a statement, “Craig is an incredible talent. He has a knack for community-building, and will help continue in our tradition of creating spaces that complement the communities we serve.” Ramey added, “I consider the Pacific Northwest my home and look forward to building upon the impressive Pacific Northwest portfolio with new acquisitions, developments and redevelopments.” Here, CenterCal and Pacific Coast Capital are nearly done with the mixed-use Village at Totem Lake makeover. Its other holdings include The Terminal, in Ballard. Ramey will be based in Tigard, Oregon.

Columbia Sportswear

Portland-base Columbia Sportswear has appointed Tim Sheerin as senior vice president of U.S. sales for the Columbia brand. Prior in joining Columbia, Sheerin spent twenty years in various senior-level sales and strategy roles at Nike, most recently as Nike's vice president of North America sales,

Local company Neptune has introduced a new product, Neptune Fish Jerky, according to CEO and founder Nick Mendoza. Neptune Fish Jerky is sustainably and 100% sourced from rockfish and Wild Alaska pollock in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. Environmental Science Associates

Sturtz

Dr. Tim Sturtz joined the air quality and community development practices of Environmental Science Associates as principal air quality specialist. He will be based in the Seattle office. Sturtz, a Northwest region air quality professional, will provide expertise in air quality assessment and management, including greenhouse gas analyses and odor assessments. He has managed projects and provided technical direction on air quality and odor issues for industrial facilities, airports, maritime port authorities, government agencies and research institutions. He has led air quality studies for clients including the Port of Seattle and has led air quality and greenhouse gas analyses for projects requiring SEPA review, including a methanol production facility, the modernization of a container terminal and a convention center renovation. ESA is an environmental consulting, engineering and planning firm.

Parametrix

Young

Parametrix hired Jenifer Young as the environmental planning and compliance division manager for the Puget Sound region. The division includes approximately 50 staff in Seattle, Bremerton and Puyallup. Young served in this role from 2015 through 2018, when she relocated to New York City where she worked for VHB. Now back at Parametrix, she will further build the firm's National Environmental Policy Act and State Environmental Policy Act practice, working out of the Seattle office. Young has over 30 years of experience in preparing and managing environmental impact statements and related analyses for development projects. She was environmental manager on the State Route 520, I-5 to Medina bridge replacement. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental sciences.

Marshall

In Seattle, GGLO promoted David Marshall and Jeffrey Bates to senior associate. Marshall is a landscape architect who has worked with multi-disciplinary teams creating projects at GGLO. Bates is an architect who has designed at a variety of scales, from unit plans to urban district planning, and has worked on mixed-use urban infill projects, both high-rise and mid-rise. GGLO is a design practice for architecture, urban design, landscapes and interiors.

Central Washington University

Parks

Central Washington University Professor Anderson Parks was named a Kuolt Distinguished Professor of Business. Parks is a management professor based at CWU-Lynnwood. Parks began teaching following a career in global management with The Coca-Cola Company. After guest lecturing at Bellevue College and teaching at Edmonds Community College, he began leading a marketing and management course at CWU-Lynnwood in 2017. The Kuolt Distinguished Professor in Business is named after Milt Kuolt II, the founder and former president and chief executive officer of Horizon Air. The focus of the professorship is to help the College of Business retain a faculty member with business experience who can connect the college and others at CWU with industry.

Ossia

Bellevue-based Ossia has retained Citigroup Global Markets to serve as its financial advisor. In addition, Ossia has appointed Doug Stovall as chief executive officer and Marty Feuerstein as chief operating officer. Ossia's founder and chief technical officer, Hatem Zeine, will now also serve as the company's president. Ossia's Cota technology is a patented smart antenna technology that automatically keeps multiple devices charged without any user intervention.

Cyemptive Technologies

Cyemptive Technologies named former USAF and NSA network and security system specialist Alan Yarusevich as principal security solution architect. Following his time with USAF and NSA, Yarusevich was at FalconStor Software and Hitachi Data Systems, where he served in senior pre-sales engineering and operations roles. Founded in 2014, Cyemptive is a provider of pre-emptive cybersecurity products and technology.

Tacoma Dome and Convention Center

Tacoma Venues & Events announced that it has achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation, the venue industry's premier outbreak prevention, response and recovery certification. Under the guidance of GBAC, a division of the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association, the Tacoma Dome and Greater Tacoma Convention Center have adopted the stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention. The program certifies that the Tacoma Dome and Greater Tacoma Convention Center have demonstrated compliance with the program's 20 core elements ranging from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment, emergency preparedness and response measures.
