Back in 1992, when Bellevue was a very different place, Benenson Capital Partners of New York paid a bit over $7.3 million for a nearly full block at 103 110th Ave. N.E., on the north side of Main Street. Benenson then developed two retail buildings alongside an existing 1968 warehouse. Today called Main Street Marketplace, the complex is home to H Mart, Office Depot and PetSmart. Toys R Us and Tully's have closed, though space in the latter recently became a Blazing Bagels. Most of the 6.8 acres is surface parking.
