Last month in the University District, the vacant former Walgreens and its east parking lot sold for $13 million to Fields Holdings of Los Angeles, a very active developer of off-campus student housing. Now, for likely partner Core Spaces of Chicago, also active in the U District, GGLO has filed a 23-story tower plan at 1205 N.E. 50th St., on the corner of 12th Avenue Northeast.
