New crane over Aurora for Uptown hotel

Ralph’s Concrete Pumping was onsite this week, sending concrete into the pit.

Nearly three years ago, fire gutted a vacant old building at 601 Aurora Ave. N., where Puget Sound Hospitality has long planned an extended-stay hotel. The site is on the corner of Roy Street, and faces south to the Mercer Street underpass. It's immediately east of the Four Points by Sheraton, which has the same local owner, the Pong family.
