Virtual: Lessons and Possibilities from the City of Beaverton’s Non-Potable Water Utility. This is the first in a three-part series of NEBC technical workshops on water and environmental resiliency presented by GSI Water Solutions. Beaverton is developing a non-potable water system to irrigate green spaces like parks, school grounds and residential yards – the first major residential area in Oregon to do so. The new system will use groundwater and treated stormwater for irrigation and stream recharge. Speakers are Priya Dhanapal, program manager and senior project engineer, and David Winship, principal engineer, both with the city of Beaverton; and Ronan Igloria, water resources consultant, and Jason Melady, principal hydrogeologist, both with GSI Water Solutions. 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. $55, $35 for members.
