SeaTac hotel, apartment plan reemerges after 4-year hiatus

A groundbreaking was announced four years ago for a hotel project at 17300 International Blvd., almost immediately east of the airport. Nothing has been built, though the old Jet Motel and Concourse Inn have been razed. A Hyatt Place and extended-stay Hyatt House were the old plan.


Paccar building Kentucky facility

A distributor for after-market truck, trailer, bus and engine parts is building a new facility in Kentucky and expects to create 80 full-time jobs.


Bothell townhouses trade for $10M

Trendy NYC buyer eyes shuttered downtown hotel

The almost century-old Hotel Seattle, at 315 Seneca St., and its basement dive bar, Bernard's on Seneca, closed in March of last year, owing to the pandemic. Kidder Mathews recently put the 78-room property on the market, unpriced, with offers due by April 20.



$21.6B allocated for rental assistance

The Biden administration announced the allocation of $21.6 billion in emergency rental assistance to help prevent evictions of people who lost jobs during the pandemic.


Oregon state park gets ‘dark sky' nod

Prineville Reservoir State Park has been certified as an International Dark Sky Park and is the first Oregon park to make the list of the places around the world with the least nighttime light pollution.
