What's Inside...

600 Wall Street is one of many residential towers planned for downtown Seattle that will be lean and tall.

In this year's Urban Development special publication of the Daily Journal of Commerce, we look at the use of tenant representatives for leasing office space and how historic buildings are being saved with the help of tax credits.

We also look into changes in Seattle's downtown zoning code and what they mean for the future of the city's skyline. Changes are coming to the Eastside, too, as it sloughs off its image as a bedroom community.

Finding downtown Seattle too pricey? Try the U District. Too taxing? Try Tacoma.

We look at small businesses buying into condo offices, and talk about ways to make projects go smoother by developing trust.

Finally, we wrap things up with a look at the importance of design quality in urban development.
