L&I's new Stay at Work program keeps 1,200 injured workers on the job

  • Since its inception, the program has reimbursed 568 employers with $2.5 million.

    About a year ago, the state Department of Labor & Industries took a new approach to injured workers. Instead of compensating the injured to stay at home, it started compensating companies to let injured workers stay at work.
