FSi consulting engineers hired mechanical engineers Ola Jarvegren and Kevin Takayesu. Jarvegren has 10-plus years of engineering experience, focusing on educational, medical and military facilities. He has worked in North Carolina, Hawaii and most recently for DLR Group and Affiliated Engineers in Seattle. Takayesu has seven years of experience, with a focus on HVAC, energy analysis and LEED design for commercial, educational and public clients. Seattle-based FSi provides mechanical engineering for civic, industrial and manufacturing projects.

Jensen Maritime naval architecture and marine engineering firm hired Ray Isemann as senior sales account executive in Seattle. Isemann will work to grow the business in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, East Coast and along the Mississippi River. He his maritime industry experience includes 22 years in shipyard operations and management and 20 years in sales and marketing. He previously worked for Bollinger Shipyard in Lockport, La. Seattle-based Jensen is owned by Crowley Maritime Corp.

PND Engineers hired Chris Fornace as a staff engineer in Seattle. Fornace holds a master's in civil engineering and a bachelor's in architectural engineering from Drexel University. He has two years of experience in civil and structural design for pile-supported structures, pedestrian access, and bridges. PND is a marine, civil, coastal, structural, and geotechnical engineering firm.

Dave Enos has rejoined GeoEngineers as a principal environmental geologist in Spokane. Enos will provide environmental assessment/remediation and hydrogeology services. He was with GeoEngineers for seven years and most recently worked at URS Corp. He has 24-plus years of experience in environmental site investigations, brownfields assessments and site cleanups, with clients that include the City of Spokane. GeoEngineers is an earth science, engineering and technology consulting firm headquartered in Seattle, with 12 U.S. offices.
Cary Kopczynski & Company promoted Joe Ferzli to principal, Jason Thome to senior project engineer, and Chi-ying Wang to senior BIM modeler. Ferzli has more than 14 years experience, seven with CKC. As principal, he will be responsible for technical advancement of CKC projects, and business development and client management. His projects include 815 Pine, a 42-story residential tower in Seattle. Thome eight-plus years experience as an engineer, seven with CKC. He is working on Ameristar, a $500 million gaming resort in Louisiana. Wang has 14 years modeling and drafting experience, eight with CKC. She is working on Lincoln Square expansion, a 700,000 square foot office tower and a 42-story hotel/residential tower over retail and parking. Bellevue-based CKC provides structural engineering.
Wood Harbinger promoted Paul Johnson to vice president of mechanical engineering. Johnson has 34 years of experience, five at Wood Harbinger working on military, aviation, and education projects. Those projects include the Chief Sealth International High School and Denny Middle School, which share a campus. His team helped improve the energy efficiency of the historic Chief Sealth.
In its Portland office, LRS Architects hired Charles Berteaux as building information modeling manager, Benjamin Nielson as job captain, Anne Bedney as an interior designer, Tracy Bellman as project coordinator, and Patrick Fisher and Joe Bosnar as architectural project staff members.
Berteaux has 14 years of experience in high-tech and manufacturing facilities. Nielson is an intern architect with eight years of experience that includes multifamily and hospitality projects. Bedney five-plus years of experience that includes retail, housing and high-tech projects. She works in the interiors studio. Bellman has a bachelor's from Portland State University and will work in the commercial studio. Fisher holds a master of architecture from the University of Portland, and works in the housing studio. Bosnar has five years of experience that includes commercial and residential projects. He works in the commercial office studio. LRS also has an office in Shanghai.

Greenstar Building Systems hired Randy Duggan as regional sales manager. Duggan started in modular construction in 1976. Recently he worked for Modular Consulting Group and advised developers on multifamily projects in the Northwest and California. Greenstar fabricates apartments, single-family homes and housing for the oil/gas and mining industries.

Tina Huff has been named an owner of Farallon Consulting. Huff is a senior regulatory specialist. During her 12 years with the firm, she has helped oversee the environmental due diligence program. She has conducted environmental site assessments and investigations and due diligence for real estate transactions. As an owner, she will provide input on strategic initiatives and expand due diligence services.

Brian D. Patnode has been promoted to principal at Bruce Dees & Associates, a Tacoma landscape architecture firm. Patnode is a landscape architect with 22 years of experience, eight of them with the firm.
The Los Angeles office of Coffman Engineers hired Edward Silver as a senior structural engineer. Silver founded Silver & Associates, which merged with Coffman Engineers. He has designed major structures for projects nationally and developed industrial prototypes for commercial clients including Target and Best Buy. Coffman provides civil, structural, industrial mechanical, process piping, commercial mechanical, electrical engineering and controls, lighting, project management, commissioning and corrosion control engineering. It was established in Washington in 1979 and has a Seattle office.
