Golder Associates promoted Chris King and Dave Seluga to associate, and Scott Matthees and Gary Zimmerman to principal. King is a senior engineer and client manager in the Redmond office. He works with power sector clients and is leading Golder's Pacific Northwest federal projects team. Seluga works in the Portland office as a practice leader for remediation, environmental compliance and power projects. Matthees works in the Redmond office as a senior consultant specializing in construction management of mining, geological, geotechnical and environmental projects. Zimmerman is the Pacific Northwest environmental sciences division leader. managing environmental investigations and remedial actions at sites in Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii. Golder is a global ground engineering and environmental consulting firm.

Freiheit & Ho Architects

Stanbra

Freiheit & Ho Architects hired Erica Stanbra as an architectural designer. Stanbra recently received a master of architecture degree from Florida A&M University, and holds a bachelor's in environmental studies and political science from Florida State University. Freiheit & Ho provides architecture, planning and interior design.

Group Mackenzie

Roberts

Group Mackenzie hired Mary Roberts as interiors project manager in the Seattle office. Roberts has more than eight years of design experience and will assist on tenant improvements, building repositioning and commercial interiors. Group Mackenzie provides architecture, interior design, structural engineering, landscape architecture, land use planning, transportation planning and civil engineering.

Weiss

Haring

Community Attributes hired Diana Haring as a geosystems analyst and Elliot Weiss as a planning analyst. Haring was part of the Global Burden of Disease project for 2010, a retrospective analysis of more than 220 diseases and injuries in almost 200 countries in the past 30 years. Previously Weiss founded (your)Cities Consulting Group, specializing in urban issues, including place-making and creative class retention. Seattle-based Community Attributes provides economic strategies, spatial data analysis and urban planning.

Perkins+Will

Perkins+Will promoted and hired a number of people in the Seattle office. Ryan Bussard was promoted to design principal, Kelly Schnell, Scheer Chan, and Devin Kleiner to associate, Holly Herzer and Sam McGuire IV to architectural designer III, and Molly Baker and Francesly Sierra to architectural designer II. Ed Palushock was hired as a project architect, Marie Henson as a medical planner, Brandusa Balarca, Antonia Ciaverella and Nate Williams as architectural staff members, and Tori Salvatore as marketing coordinator. James Sykes, a project architect, relocated to Seattle from the Dallas office. Bussard has more than 17 years of experience that includes the Husky Union Building at the University of Washington and The Atrium, a life science development for Washington Holdings in Seattle.

Johnson Braund

Seattle-based Johnson Braund hired architects Charles Romero and Greg Eckert and interior designer Gina Leone. It also promoted Larry Johnson to senior project manager, Seth Terry to project manager and Jamie Gilmore to project designer. Romero has seven years of experience and is designing hospitality and housing projects. Eckert also has seven years of experience and is designing hotel projects. Leone has two years of experience and is working on new senior housing design. Johnson has 20 years of hotel and multifamily experience, and is working on a new hotel in the University District. Terry is working on new hotel design. Gilmore is developing prototypes for the Wyndham brand. Johnson Braund provides architectural and interior design and planning.

Otak

Otak hired Meg Olson and Chris Ewing as water resource analysts and engineering designers in the Kirkland office. Olson previously was an engineering designer for a local consulting firm. She has also worked for the Institute for Hazards Mitigation Planning and Research at the University of Washington on Safe Haven, which designs tsunami evacuation shelters. Ewing previously was a civil engineering designer for a local consulting firm where he did hydrologic modeling and stormwater treatment design. Otak is an engineering, urban design, architecture and planning firm with offices in Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Riley Group

The Riley Group, an environmental and geotechnical engineering firm in Bothell, hired Michael Noll as a senior geologist, Ada Hamilton as a project manager, and Ella Sandquist as a marketing and business development coordinator. Noll has 25 years of experience managing and conducting geologic and hydrogeologic investigations focused on soil and groundwater cleanup and site remediation. Hamilton has more than 11 years of experience in environmental consulting, including for municipalities and private landowners. Sandquist has seven-plus years of experience in environmental project management, client services and marketing campaigns.

West Consultants

Jeff Harris joined West Consultants as a senior scientist in hydrology and hydraulics. He previously was with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 35 years, most recently as chief of the hydrology and hydraulics technology division, Institute for Water Resources, Hydrologic Engineering Center in Davis, Calif. He led HEC's development, application and training for HEC-RAS, a hydrology and hydraulics modeling software. He also has worked with the Interagency Performance Evaluation Team after Hurricane Katrina, and assisted in Thailand during the 2011 floods.
