In the Portland office, it hired Casey McDonald as an engineer-in-training and Robert Jackson as a project manager. Lock has 13 years in the building science field and experience in civil and structural engineering. Rundle has 10 years in design, focusing on building enclosures and construction defect rehabilitation. Waffner has more than two decades of design experience and a mechanical engineering background. Baez has a 10-year design background that includes teaching. Lafferty previously did contract work at the Seattle RDH office. He has more than 10 years of experience in construction, focusing on window installation and building enclosure coordination for general contractors. McDonald has 10 years of experience in design. Jackson previously worked as a mechanical designer engineer in training. RDH Building Sciences provides consulting and construction management.

Golder Associates hired David Gianninotti as a desktop support analyst and Carey Berg as a project coordinator in the Redmond office. Brad Taylor was hired as business information services director for the United States in the Lake Oswego, Ore., office. Robert Humphries, a project fluvial geomorphologist, was transferred from the Denver office to Redmond. Gianninotti previously worked in the United Kingdom on information technology services for the medical industry. Berg supports projects with reports, letters and technical memos. Taylor was a program manager for social platforms and a chief information officer. Humphries is responsible for projects involving flowing water, sediment transport, bedrock scour, and geomorphology. Golder is a global ground engineering and environmental consulting firm. Its other Northwest offices are in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Portland.

Callison, a Seattle-based global architecture and design firm, promoted 11 people to principal, including eight in the Seattle office: Lloyd Baker, Todd Enoki, Esmeraldo (Raldi) Formantes, Cindi Kato, Jae Kim, Karen Oshiro, Diljit Sethi and Bret Wiggins. Brian Adams was promoted in the Dallas office, Doug Shaw in the Beijing office and Gerald Allbury in the London office. Baker has worked on global commercial projects from Seattle for 15 years, has led work overseas for more than 25, and is leading design on a retail/mixed-use project in Mexico City. Enoki has done global commercial work from Seattle for 13 years and worked on projects overseas for 20-plus years, including Mission Hills Haikou, a resort on Hainan Island, China. Formantes has done commercial projects from Seattle for 15 years, and has 25 years of international architecture, planning and design experience, including a lifestyle center for Greenland in Xuhui, Shanghai. Kato has worked on global retail projects from Seattle for 25 years. She has 31 years of retail, hospitality, restaurant, health care and banking experience in the U.S., with projects that include Cole Haan and Dockers. Kim has done global commercial work from Seattle for eight years. He has worked in the U.S., Middle East, China and India markets, including with developers L&T Crescent Bay and Omkar Alta Monte. Oshiro has worked on global retail projects from the Seattle office for 20 years, including stores for Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids. Sethi has done global commercial work from Seattle for eight years, and been involved in projects in the U.S. and abroad for the last 25. Recently, he worked on residential/office high-rises and other developments in India. Wiggins has done global commercial work from Seattle for 19 years, including shopping centers and and mixed-use projects. His recent work includes the University Village expansion. Adams has worked on global commercial projects from Dallas for five years, and done work locally and abroad for 23-plus years, including a master-planned resort in Aqaba, Jordan. Shaw has worked on global retail and commercial projects in the Seattle, Dubai and Beijing offices for more than 23 years, including Chongqing Rongheng, a luxury retail and entertainment destination in China. Allbury has worked on global retail developments from the London office for four years and done project management and design delivery for more than 17. His clients have included retailers Harvey Nichols and Harrods. Callison has more than 900 employees, with offices also in Los Angeles, Mexico City, Dallas, Scottsdale, New York, London, Dubai, Beijing and Shanghai.

Pacland hired Jim Cook as a senior project manager in the Olympia Office. He previously was with BergerABAM and has 23 years of civil engineering experience in municipal, commercial, industrial and federal projects. Olympia-based Pacland provides engineering and planning in the Pacific Northwest.

Sclater Partners Architects hired David Balas as a project architect, Cassie Hodge as an intern, Suzanne Duley as an associate, and Emily Maxey as a bookkeeper. Balas has 30 years of experience with retail, residential and historic preservation, and is working on the hotel and residential portions of the Lincoln Square expansion. Hodge has six years of experience and is providing Revit support on retail tenant improvements and a mixed-use project. Duley rejoins the firm with 19 years of experience on civic, mixed-use, retail and housing. She is working on the Lincoln Square expansion. Maxey has 12 years of bookkeeping, human resource and administrative experience.

Group Four

Group Four hired civil engineer Raymond E. Miller as the engineering department manager and Kenneth R. Williams as the senior project manager. Also, Daniel K. Roupe was named president and sole owner of the firm, which recently relocated from Bothell to Lake Stevens. Group Four provides land surveying, civil engineering and land use planning.
