Seattle-based architecture and design firm MG2 named Wendy Unzleman and Peter Stocker shareholders, Risa Yuki a shareholder and associate principal, and Eric Marks a shareholder and principal. Marks works in the Washington, D.C., office, and the others in Seattle. Also in Seattle, the firm promoted Balmiki Bhattacharya, Mai-Lee Lam, Christine Lasley, Janelle Schneider and Shannon Suess to associate principal. Unzleman is vice president of finance. She has brought financial, operational and strategic guidance to MG2 for over a decade, combining her knowledge of the A/E/C industry and experience scaling operations to meet market demands. Stocker is a principal in the retail market. He has led the firm's brand design and development practice for the past five years. Most recently, he has been integral in building the food, beverage and entertainment category as a growing sector within the retail and commercial markets. Yuki has been with the firm for 20 years and has significantly impacted the quality of design and delivery projects. She has partnered with her team members, consultants, contractors, jurisdictions and clients. Marks is retail practice lead in the D.C. office and has been a leader across markets and regions. MG2 provides architectural services, planning, interior design, brand strategy and consulting.

DCI Engineers promoted principals Grant Buckingham, Greg Gilda, Craig Crowley, Jeff Brink, Matthew Hubbard and Matthew Schmidt to vice president roles that were added to better facilitate the firm's growth and management, and to differentiate the principals' corporate responsibility. Buckingham and Gilda are in the Seattle office, and Crowley, Brink, Hubbard and Schmidt are in the Spokane, San Francisco, and Bozeman and Missoula, Montana, offices, respectively. They are all on the firm's executive management team. Buckingham has over 25 years of experience in structural engineering and project management and has worked on single-story structures to high-rise buildings. He is principal in charge of DCI's information technology. Gilda has over 30 years of structural engineering and project management experience with commercial, educational, residential, religious, sustainable and public projects. He has also overseen design-build, tenant improvement, transit oriented and sustainability projects. He is principal in charge of the marketing department. Crowley has 20 years of experience at the Spokane office. He has been involved with business development and project management. Brink is principal in charge of the San Francisco office, and has tapped into the multifamily and technology markets in the Bay Area. Hubbard has 15 years of experience in designing structures for commercial, educational, high-end residential and specialty projects, such as outdoor art installations. He is principal in charge of DCI's human resources department. Schmidt has over 25 years of engineering experience, and has worked on large commercial projects such as bridges, municipal buildings, schools and factories. DCI is a civil and structural engineering firm.

Portland-based landscape architecture firm Shapiro Didway hired Renee Wilkinson as an associate and Serena Rebers, Jenny Anderson and Alden Carr as designers, and promoted Jessica Habel to marketing coordinator/graphic designer. Wilkinson has over six years of landscape design and project management experience with a focus on nature play and plant design. Her work has included John Callahan Memorial Garden in Portland and the Google Bike Vision Plan in Mountain View, California. She is working on mixed-use housing, senior living, K-12 campus and house projects. Rebers has four years of design experience. She was on the team for Carbon12, the tallest cross-laminated timber building in the country. Her design specialties include native and medicinal plant design and earth architecture. She works on housing and senior living projects. Anderson has three years of experience, including with a firm in Coventry, England, where she did urban design, residential, health and senior living projects. She has been working on commercial, residential, senior living and K-12 school projects for Shapiro Didway. Carr has a bachelor's in environmental science and biology from Northern Arizona University, and a master's of landscape architecture from the University of Oregon, and is working on office projects. He has a construction background. Habel has led several business development proposals resulting in new commissions for the firm while managing its website, database, marketing materials and branding. Shapiro Didway provides landscape architecture, urban design and planning services.

Seattle-based Miller Hayashi Architects promoted architects Ellen Hagen and Tyler Laskowski to associate. Hagen was hired in 2011. Her current work includes the new Kent East Hill YMCA. Laskowski joined Miller Hayashi in 2012. He is working on renovation of the Bellevue College Student Athletics building and a new Integrated Care Center in Edmonds. The firm provides architecture, interiors and master planning.

ZGF Architects appointed Victoria Nichols as a partner in Seattle and Sharron van der Meulen, Solvei Neiger and Vladimir Pajkic as partners in Portland. Nichols is an architect with over 20 years of experience managing the planning, programming and design of health care projects. Her clients have included Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Medical Center, Seattle Children's Hospital, and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, which ZGF said are ranked Nos. 2, 5 and 6 on U.S. News & World Report's list of Best Children's Hospitals. Van der Meulen has 35 years of interior design experience and has been an integral part of winning and executing some of ZGF's most successful projects, including Randall Children's Hospital and corporate headquarters for Stoel Rives and Hanna Andersson. Neiger has three decades of experience on health care and institutional projects, including the Cincinnati Children's Medical Center Critical Care Building, and the soon-to-open Oregon Health & Science University Center for Health and Healing Building 2. Pajkic has international- and U.S.-based experience on high-profile projects, including mixed-use, museum, high-rise, and hospitality, as well as master planning. His current projects include Brandywine Realty Trust in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and Proper Hotel Portland.

In Spokane, NAC Architecture hired Rodrigo Rada as an architect, Tiffany Bronowski as an architectural designer, Angel Meegan as a project accountant, Natalie Curtin as an interior designer, Marci Schreiber as an interior designer and associate, John Vega as a construction administrator, David Sabry as an IT systems administrator and Chris Howard as a desktop support specialist. Rada is working on the Beijing National Day School Changping K-9 School in Beijing and the Beijing National Day School Future Science City K-12 School. He was with SmithGroup in Phoenix. Bronowski is working on Central Valley Horizon Middle School in Spokane Valley and Walla Walla Community College Recreation Center. She was with Russell Page Architects in Spokane. Meegan is a CPA and worked for Moss Adams in Spokane. She holds a master's degree in taxation from Gonzaga University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of North Texas. Curtin is working on the Lewis and Clark High School addition in Spokane and Welch Residence Hall at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. She was with Uptic Studios in Spokane. Schreiber is working on the Walla Walla Community College Recreation Center and Missoula International School in Missoula, Montana. She was with ZBA Architecture in Spokane. Vega is working on Eastmont Elementary School projects in East Wenatchee and the Riverfront Park Pavilion renovation in Spokane. He was a project manager with Palm Springs Unified School District in California. Sabry oversees the technical design, development, installation and maintenance of all technology systems in NAC's offices. He was with Flynn BEC, formerly Cobra BEC, in Spokane. Howard is responsible for day-to-day technical support to employees' systems, software and hardware installations, as well as configuring and troubleshooting. He was with the U.S. Air Force. NAC specializes in planning, design, engineering and capital facilities consulting services.

Issaquah-based Farallon Consulting hired David Teter, Ph.D., in its Oakland office. An engineer, he has over 25 years of experience providing environmental science and engineering services, including litigation support. He also has done environmental due diligence, remedial design and supported construction projects. The environmental consulting firm provides engineering, due diligence, regulatory compliance and permitting, remedial investigations and feasibility studies, sediment services and vapor intrusion investigation and mitigation.
