Seattle-based Land Morphology promoted landscape architects Lindsey Heller to partner, Renee Freier to principal and Ints Luters to associate principal, and hired Greg Murphy as a senior associate, Betsy Haddox as a landscape architect, Dylan Crawford and Cara Huang as landscape designers and Kristina Koenig as a bookkeeper.

Heller joined the firm in 2013 with experience in public garden and zoo design. She is leading the Leach Botanical Garden project, now under construction in Portland. Freier was hired in 2016 and has designed parks, schools, botanic gardens and housing. She is working on commercial projects in Alaska. Luters was hired in 2018 and has a background in integrated ecological design. He has designed parks and zoos and is leading several Seattle-area private projects.

Murphy will manage private projects in the Northwest, and projects in Connecticut and New Jersey. He has managed public park and private development projects. Haddox will be project landscape architect for many of the firm's private projects. Crawford has been working on infrastructure, transportation and park projects. Huang previously designed mixed-use and streetscape projects in California. Crawford and Huang will support project teams. Besides bookkeeping, Koenig will assist with office operations. Land Morphology provides landscape architectural services.

In Seattle, DLR Group hired Lizzy Skolmen (architecture). The firm provides architecture, engineering, interiors, planning and building optimization for new construction, renovation and adaptive reuse.

Parametrix

Swartout

Tom Swartout joined Parametrix as a senior engineer in Puyallup in the water solutions facilities group. He has over 20 years of experience as a process engineer specializing in municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure. He was with the city of Olympia providing technical planning and engineering support to its wastewater and drinking water utilities. Before that, he spent 13 years in the private sector, working for Brown and Caldwell, CH2M Hill OMI, and CH2M Hill. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental sciences.

Seattle-based Rolluda Architects hired Kathryn Bost as a marketing specialist. Bost has 25 years of marketing experience for local engineering and architecture firms. She is a member of SMPS, is a Certified Professional Services Marketer, and is on the board of directors for the Society of American Military Engineers Seattle Post. Rolluda provides master planning, programming, architectural design and construction support.

Friel

HNTB Corp. said it appointed three new executive vice presidents in response to ongoing growth within the U.S. transportation market. They are John Friel, president, Western Region; Keith Hinkebein, president, design build; and Scott Butzen, enterprise operations officer.

Friel will lead the Western Region, which includes HNTB's Northwest and West Divisions, and is in charge of all of the firm's business lines in the Western Region, concentrating on the aviation, highway, transit, tolls and architecture practices.

Theo Prince joined Parametrix as a senior engineer in its Seattle surface water group working on stormwater basin planning, highway drainage design and fish passable culvert projects. He has 19 years of experience providing stormwater management and surface water design and analysis, most recently in the Northwest. Prince has worked on storm drainage improvements, culvert replacements, and low impact development retrofits in King, Snohomish and Whatcom counties, and has experience in green infrastructure and design-build projects. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental services.

Mohammadi

Kirkland-based Blueline hired Ruby Mohammadi as an engineer to work on residential projects and Libby Wallace as an office coordinator. Mohammadi was with Core Design. She has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Tabriz in Iran. Wallace was with Shimmick-Parsons Joint Venture/Aecom, and has administrative experience with engineering, construction and landscape design companies. Blueline provides civil engineering, land use planning and landscape architecture services.

Bremerton-based Rice Fergus Miller hired Elizabeth Salas as a designer in its senior living studio and Becky Wall as an interior designer in its senior living, health care and community studios. Rice Fergus Miller is an architecture, interior design, planning and visualization firm.

Spokane-based Bernardo Wills Architects hired James Davis as a landscape architect and Cathi Lamb and Meranda D. Morris as BIM/CAD technicians.

Davis is working on Atlas Waterfront Park in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and the Spokane Parks & Recreation North Bank Regional Playground. He has seven years of experience and was a landscape architect/estimator with Land Expressions. Lamb is providing drafting, design and construction support for two new buildings: South Hill Pediatric Dentistry Clinic in Spokane and Fairways Plaza Retail B in Cheney. She has 35 years of drafting experience, and was CAD manager for Wayne C. Siu Architects in Brea, California. Morris is supplying BIM and CAD services for The Farm at Mill Creek mixed-use development in Mill Creek and interior modifications to the Transitions EduCare Facility in Spokane. She has an associates degree in architectural technology from Spokane Community College. Bernardo Wills provides architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and master planning.
