In Seattle, Mithun promoted Dorothy Faris and Elizabeth MacPherson to partner, Dakota Keene to principal, Christian Runge, David Ichikawa, Naoe White, Tammy Cross and Tina Gega to associate principal, Amanda Bryan, Cassie Hillman Picard and Rosalie Daggett to senior associate and Dawid Pol, Doni Daneshfarnia, Emily Vester, Ethan Davis, Jennifer Papuga, Kasia Keeley, Katie Stege, Lisa Hartanov, Maggie Ciaccio and Reed Kelly to associate. Faris is a landscape architect who works with integrated design teams and project stakeholders to blend site, structure and community. Projects she has worked on include Heartline and Pepsi Blocks mixed-use developments in Portland; University of California San Diego Nuevo West and Nuevo East graduate student housing communities; and Keahuolu land planning in Kona, Hawaii.

MacPherson is an interior designer with a background in health and biophilia — the innate, sensory connection people have with the natural world. In her 24 years at Mithun, she has led the design of workplace and residential interiors for diverse projects including the Weyerhaeuser headquarters in Seattle, Heartline in Portland, and two student housing developments for UC Irvine, Mesa Court Towers and Middle Earth Towers. Keene is a landscape architect who has led site design for many of Mithun's signature projects including cultural landscapes for the National Nordic Museum in Seattle and the Wanapum Heritage Center in Mattawa, and campus workplaces. Among them are the Perot Family offices and Tulalip Administration Building.

Weisman Design Group

Weisman Design Group, a Seattle-based landscape architecture firm, promoted Peter Nelson to associate principal after four years of leadership as a senior associate, and it promoted Todd Yingling and Andrea Leuschke to senior associate. Also, Weisman appointed Dorte Martinez to director of operations, with responsibility for all financial and human resources operations. Martinez is the firm's former business manager.

Pickett

Clark Pickett joined the Seattle office of IA Interior Architects as design director. Pickett has over 25 years of global experience as an architect and interior designer, and is known for leading the creation of functional, imaginative and meaningful environments. He has specialized in a variety of markets in the United States, Europe and Asia including corporate, health care, hospitality, education and residential — all of which include new construction, renovation, adaptive re-use and historic restoration. He will focus on expanding IA's presence in the local market and on managing complex projects.

Seattle-based Hewitt promoted Katelin Carter Bonham to marketing manager and associate. Carter Bonham leads strategic marketing efforts and business development for the architecture, transportation architecture and landscape architecture studios. She also develops and generates creative content for the firm's print and digital channels. She joined Hewitt in April.

Arnold

Paula (Ito) Arnold joined Parametrix as a senior transportation designer in Seattle providing engineering services to public clients in the region. Arnold has over 20 years of experience as a civil engineer and CAD drafter, specializing in rail and roadway projects. Prior to joining Parametrix, she owned a business providing design and drafting services. Recently, she has been a part of Sound Transit light rail link extension projects, including Tacoma Dome, downtown Redmond, Federal Way and Lynnwood. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental sciences.

Carol Thompson joined HNTB Corp. as senior transit planner based in Bellevue. Thompson has nearly 50 years of industry experience in transportation planning within Snohomish County and the Puget Sound region. Most recently, she was regional integration manager for the planning and development department of Community Transit in Everett. Prior to that, she was a transportation planner for the city of Lynnwood for six years, where she was the city representative during the development of the Sound Transit 2 program. HNTB is an infrastructure firm.

In Spokane, ALSC Architects promoted Tina Johansen, Andrew Leeper and Sheila Boyce to associate. Johansen is an interior designer specializing in municipal and hospitality markets. Her work includes the Northern Quest Resort & Casino and Yakima Convention Center expansions. Leeper is an architect and project manager. He has focused his career on development of sports and recreation projects for municipalities and higher education clients. His work includes city of Airway Heights Community Recreation Center, Yakima Family YMCA and Kittitas County Fairgrounds improvements. Boyce is an interior designer and project manager with a focus on health care projects. Her work includes Gonzaga University Center for University Advancement and Providence North Dental Clinic. ALSC provides planning and design.
