Nuss

Stephen Nuss joined Stantec as a principal and practice leader in its water group. Nuss will work with the Washington water team to win, manage and deliver projects in the Northwest. He has over two decades of experience directing and leading civil and environmental engineering projects. His experience includes municipal projects, small-diameter water and sewer pipe rehabilitation, new water transmission main, sewage lift station, water booster station, and rehabilitation of water and sewer treatment plant projects. Nuss spent 15 years with the Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility. He has worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He is based in the Bellevue office of Stantec, a global engineering, architecture and consulting firm.

Hamann

Issaquah-based Farallon Consulting appointed Martin Hamann, Chris Poulsen and Heidi Yantz to California, Oregon and Washington regional operations managers respectively. They will manage day-to-day operations in each state, building on Farallon's infrastructure to support growth. Hamann is a principal geologist with over 30 years of experience, particularly in large-scale projects in the United States and abroad. Poulsen, a principal engineer, brings over 27 years of project, program and business management experience to his role, including client, employee and operational leadership responsibilities. Yantz is a senior hydrogeologist, health and safety manager with over 20 years of experience in site assessment and cleanup activities. Yantz spearheaded Farallon's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing staff, subcontractors and clients with timely information to remain healthy and safe. Farallon is an environmental consulting firm that provides engineering services, due diligence, permits and regulatory compliance, contaminated site investigation and cleanup, insurance claim evaluation and mediation and litigation support.

Judge

Bellingham-based RMC Architects hired David Judge as a project architect and Nathan Leigh as a design professional. Judge will use his knowledge of Cross Laminated Timber design and construction while working on the Bellingham Public Schools District Office Building. He holds a bachelor's in architecture from the University of Michigan and a master's in architecture from the University of Washington. Leigh will work on an addition to the Whatcom County Courthouse and Phase Two of Cordata Park, both in Bellingham. He holds a bachelor's in architecture from the University of Oregon. RMC offers planning and design services.

Poysnick

The Riley Group promoted Megan E. Poysnick to senior environmental manager and hired Cole Nelson as a staff geologist. Poysnick is a geologist with over 14 years of experience, specializing in environmental consulting services, risk management services and regulatory expertise in cleanup projects in the Northwest. She has managed a range of projects, including property due diligence assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, cleanup action plans and redevelopment permitting associated with cleanup services for contaminated properties. Nelson is on the environmental services team. He is assisting with environmental site assessments and subsurface investigations. He holds a bachelor's in geology from the University of Washington. The Riley Group is an environmental consulting and geotechnical firm headquartered in Bothell.

Willard

Mead

Bellingham-based RMC Architects promoted Christopher Mead and Jason Williard to associate. Mead is a project leader whose work has included the recently completed Multicultural Center at Western Washington University, a collaborative project with Opsis Architecture. Also, he has contributed to these multifamily projects in Bellingham: Walton Place One and Two, Eleanor Place and Cornerstone in Barkley Village. Williard has worked on some of RMC's most notable projects, including Peoples Bank in the Barkley Financial District and the Rocket Building in the Fairhaven Historic District, both in Bellingham, and Spring Street Landing on the Friday Harbor waterfront. He is working on Bellingham Public Schools' District Office Building in Bellingham. As an associate, he will help with marketing and business development. RMC offers planning and design services.

Webb

Bill Webb has been promoted to vice president within the RT Environmental and Construction Professional practice of RT Specialty. Webb has more than 20 years of experience within the professional liability insurance marketplace. RT ECP provides wholesale insurance brokerage and other services to agents and brokers. Webb joined the RT ECP team in 2017 as an assistant vice president to support its national network of agents, brokers and business relationships. He has since become a specialist in environmental and construction related insurance policies.
