Project of the Month: South Transfer Station: a new sort of space for waste

The landscape was designed by Swift Co. to be generous and welcoming, and incorporate a large artwork by Carol dePelecyn made from pieces of the South Park Bridge.

A big show goes on everyday near South Park, and good seats are easy to get. They're in front of a large viewing window in the city's new South Transfer Station just south of the First Avenue South Bridge.
