The new home of the Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH Food Bank opened this summer at 4303 Burnham Drive in Gig Harbor.

The 11,600-square-foot facility replaces the space previously rented from the Eagles Building in Gig Harbor that was too small to meet the needs of the community. The new facility provides space for more grocery shopping, a separate area for clothing and household items, space for private client meetings and warehouse space for food and other items as well as large walk-in coolers and freezers. The facility also includes a reception and waiting area along with offices for the staff.

Outside their facility is a new underground storm detention vault, expanded parking, a green space, secure covered loading dock facilities, and a separate firewood storage area.

The building structure has been constructed to LEED Silver standards.

GHP FISH Food Bank & Community Services serves 11 zip codes across the Key Peninsula. In addition to food and clothing, they provide educational support and access to many other community resources.
