What catches your eye when you open the page of a newspaper or a newsmagazine? We tend to look first at headlines and photos. When it comes to photos, people will almost always notice a face first. And given the choice between looking at an adult face and a baby's face, they tend to look at the baby first.
I'm not advocating getting baby pictures into your advertisements, but I am saying that ads with photos of people will be noticed. Ads and feature articles can depict people in a wide variety of situations, from a “this is our team” tableau to shots of people engaged in meaningful on-the-job activities.
