What if upset and anger could be kept in check? Anger starts with an instant of annoyance or displeasure — erupting as emotions spill over. Restraining oneself at that very moment might lead to a moment of calm, and perhaps the realization that anger may not accomplish anything.
When we learn to be less reactive we give ourselves the opportunity to channel emotions in a constructive direction.
