Ascrewdriver is the perfect tool for screws, but not very useful for nails. A chisel can cut wood, but if I want to trim a tree limb a saw is the more effective tool. In the same way PowerPoint is a marvelous illustration tool, but is not right for every presentation. Use the right tool for the occasion.
PowerPoint lacks a human touch. If you use it to give a presentation, you miss the opportunity to connect with the audience. Especially when you need to persuade. A salesperson who wants to make an impression, a manager who wants to motivate or a leader who wants to inspire will all do a better job with a personal appeal, rather than an a screen against a wall.
