Port Blakely Companies

Gary Buchanan has joined Port Blakely Companies as chief human resources officer. He has over 25 years of experience in HR in public and private sectors, and was director of human resources and development at the Port of Seattle and prior to that worked in HR at Milgard Windows. He replaces Lindsay Geyer, who retired in August. The Seattle-based company owns and manages operations in forestry, forest products and development.

Community Attributes

Community Attributes of Seattle hired Alison Peters as principal researcher. She worked for 12 years as owner of Alison Peters Consulting doing market research for businesses, public agencies, nonprofits and community organizations. Community Attributes uses demographics, economic data, geographic information systems and other tools to help clients make decisions.

Artist Trust

Artist Trust hired Shannon Roach Halberstadt as executive director starting Oct. 14. She was executive director of Spokane Arts, and was executive director of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Recording Academy (the Grammys) and managing director of the Vera Project. Artist Trust has given $10 million in grants and funding to state artists since 1986.

Scheuermann

Jill Scheuermann has been promoted to lead KeyBank's commercial banking in western Washington. Scheuermann has been acting manager of commercial banking in Greater Seattle since April. She has worked for 23 years in financial services at U.S. Bank, Sterling Savings and Key.

Intellicheck Mobilisa

Intellicheck Mobilisa, a Port Townsend-based firm focused on identity solutions and wireless security systems, named its COO William H. Roof to be president and CEO effective Oct. 1. Roof will replace Nelson Ludlow, who is retiring. Bonnie Ludlow will retire as senior vice president. Roof has more than 30 years of engineering and leadership experience in civilian and military sectors.

National Alliance on Mental Illness

The state office of the National Alliance on Mental Illness hired a new executive director: Lauren B. Simonds. She has over 25 years of nonprofit experience as executive director of an HIV/AIDS housing and support service organization, as well as working with NARAL Pro-Choice Washington and the Seattle Section of the National Council of Jewish Women. NAMI's mission is to improve the quality of life for people affected by mental illness.

eOnWard

eOnWard, Bellevue-based developer of a loyalty and retention platform called MyAutoCloud, added Tom Kain to the executive team as vice president of strategic partnerships. Kain has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, and founded a marketing platform called AutoDealerTarget. MyAutoCloud combines service data with a customer's driving habits to deliver personalized messages.

Washington Employers

Washington Employers, a Seattle-based organization founded in 1936 focused on human resources and employment law, has changed its name to Archbright. Archbright is also adding payroll services and retirement planning to the services it offers more than 1,000 employer-members.

Motiga

Motiga, an independent online game studio based in Bellevue, said David Reid has joined as senior vice president publishing. Motiga has been working on Gigantic — a free-to-play PC action game. Reid was chief marketing officer at CCP Games and SVP Publishing at Trion Worlds.
