Salish Lodge & Spa hired Wendy Floyd as director of sales. She has held sales positions at Sheraton Seattle and Sheraton Sunnyvale as well as Hilton Hotels & Resorts. The lodge completed a $1 million renovation this year.
American Express will open The Centurion Studio at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in 2015. The studios are an extension to the network of Centurion Lounges designed for card members. The studios are smaller but have seating, charging stations, free WiFi, and free snacks and beverages.
The Association of Washington Business hired Bobbi Cussins as communications manager. She replaces Jason Hagey, who became AWB's director of communications in September. Cussins most recently was a senior public information officer and grassroots coordinator for the state House of Representatives.

J.P. Morgan said Leigh Canlis has joined Seattle Private Bank as a banker, working with ultra high-net-worth clients on investments, credit and lending, estate planning, philanthropy and banking. She was president of Canlis Glass, a local small business, and worked as a fine art consultant.
Global Upside has opened an office in Bellevue to better serve current clients such as Zillow and Rhapsody International. The office is at 11820 Northup Way. Global Upside offers accounting services, staffing, human resources and international expansion services.
Marchex, a mobile advertising tech company, hired two executives. Razorfish and aQuantive veteran Peter Greb is vice president of national clients, and Daniel Behrendt, who was with Samsung in Seoul, is vice president of strategy and development.

Sound Physicians, a Tacoma-based hospitalist and post-acute care organization, said it will acquire Cogent Healthcare, a hospitalist and intensive care organization with more than 650 providers in more than 80 U.S. hospitals. The two will now serve more than 180 hospitals in 35 states.
Panopto, a video platform provider for business and education markets, added Rob Hughes as vice president of sales. He was senior vice president of worldwide sales and support and chief revenue officer at Vidyo, a video conferencing firm. Seattle-based Panopto creates software to import, record, share and view video presentations.
Allison+Partners named Jen Graves senior vice president of marketing and business development. Graves was vice president of U.S. business development for Edelman. She will focus on global marketing efforts and be based in the Seattle office.
