Stokes Lawrence is expanding its real estate practice with attorneys Erin Howshar, Serena Sayani, Julia Osher Clark and David Rubenstein, and paralegals Sarah Prodzinksi and Kay Brittain. They were with McNaul Ebel Nawrot & Helgren. Howshar and Sayani will lead the team. Both have worked on cross-border transactions and REIT formations, and complex property transactions across the United States. The firm has offices in Seattle and Yakima.
Impel NeuroPharma, a Seattle biotech company, named Jon Congleton president and CEO. Impel develops intranasal drug treatments for central nervous system disorders. He was president and CEO of Nivalis Therapeutics. The firm's co-founder and interim CEO, John Hoekman, will remain as executive vice president and chief scientific officer.

Marten Law said Sarah Dennison-Leonard has joined the firm as a partner in Portland. Her practice focuses on complex commercial and regulatory transactions, particularly related to energy. Sarah Peterson joins the firm as an associate in San Francisco. Her practice focuses on litigation, permitting and counseling on environmental, energy, natural resources, land use and product law.
SportsArt has promoted Ivo Grossi from executive vice president to CEO of the Americas. Ivo has domestic and international executive experience in the fitness, health and wellness industry, including at Technogym, Peak Pilates and Sensoria Fitness. SportsArt's new line of cardio equipment will include a treadmill that harvests energy generated by users and feeds it into the grid.

Women Business Owners said Vanessa Smith is the 36th winner of its Nellie Cashman Woman Business Owner of the Year Award. Smith owns Blue Ribbon Cooking. She started the cooking and catering business at 23 and within three years had over 90 employees. Cashman (ca. 1850-1925) was an Irish immigrant, gold miner and community organizer who had a string of businesses in the West that made her financially independent.
Stoel Rives LLP hired J. Nathanael Watson as an of counsel attorney in the Environment, Land Use and Natural Resources Group in Seattle. Watson was a trial attorney for the Environment & Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice from 2009 to 2013 in Washington, D.C., and from 2014 to 2017 in Denver.

Here are the six new relationship bankers: Cyndee Wood (Auburn/Federal Way), Leland Williams (Bellevue), Billy Huntley (North Seattle), Greg Hansch (Tacoma), Jerrod Vinson (North Seattle/Lynnwood) and Tim Corrigan (South Seattle).
F5 Networks named Steve McMillan executive vice president of global services, based at F5's Seattle headquarters. He was senior vice president of customer success and managed cloud services at Oracle, and spent 19 years at IBM on global managed services, consulting and IT. Long-time F5 executive Julian Eames is retiring.
Everett-based Funko, a pop culture consumer products company, announced three executive appointments: Andrew Perlmutter, senior vice president of sales, has been promoted to president; Johanna Gepford has been promoted to SVP of global sales; and Jaime Beckley has been named VP of sales.
