Paccar

Harrie Schippers on Jan. 1 will become president and chief financial officer at Paccar in Bellevue. Schippers, currently executive vice president and CFO, has worked at the company for 31 years. He was president of the DAF Trucks division in the Netherlands from 2010 to 2016.

Sound Mental Health

Sound Mental Health changed its name to Sound as part of a new corporate brand identity that includes a new logo, internet domain and the tagline “the forefront of behavioral healthcare.” Tukwila-based Sound says its old brand no longer reflects its array of mental health and addiction services. The company is expanding into new business lines and has adopted the Reaching Recovery care model.

Henley, a partner, focuses on intellectual property rights and holds a law degree from Seattle University. Holloway has five years of experience with corporate real estate transactions and worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an advisory associate. Moses has three years of experience with corporate, commercial and real estate transactions. He also counsels on liquor and cannabis compliance.

Phytelligence

Curt Granger joined the Seattle-based agricultural biotech company Phytelligence as vice president of global sales for grapes. Granger worked for the California wine industry and California Kiwifruit Commission. Phytelligence was founded by Dr. Amit Dhingra in 2012 at Washington State University, and has offices in Pullman and Portland.

Accelerator Life Science Partners

Accelerator Corp. changed its name to Accelerator Life Science Partners, and hired Kendall Mohler, Ph.D., as chief development officer and Ian Howes as chief financial officer. Mohler was senior vice president of research at Juno Therapeutics and a co-founder of Trubion Pharmaceuticals. Howes has 20 years of financial experience with early-stage life sciences companies. Accelerator is a life science investment and management firm with offices in Seattle and New York City.

FEMA

Mike O'Hare is the new Region 10 administrator for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Before joining FEMA, O'Hare was with the Alaska Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, most recently as director of the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. He will be responsible for FEMA's efforts in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and 271 federally recognized tribes and Alaska Native villages.

Washington State University

Susmita Bose, a professor in Washington State University's School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, has been named a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. Her work focuses on using technology to improve health. She holds seven patents and seven are currently pending, and has done research on 3D printed bone tissue engineering scaffolds.
