Lane Powell

Duffy

In Seattle, the law firm of Lane Powell elected Barbara J. Duffy as president. Duffy chaired the firm's Litigation Department for more than a decade, and specializes in commercial litigation, class actions and health care regulatory matters. She replaces Charles W. Riley Jr., who continues his trusts and estates practice.

JND Legal Administration

Seattle-based JND Legal Administration appointed Jonathan Paul as a senior consultant to grow the company's mass tort and lien resolution services. Paul has over 15 years of sales experience, including stints as senior vice president and business development director at a large legal consulting and administrative services firm. JND provides legal management and administration for law firms, corporations and government entities. It has offices in California, Minnesota, New York and Washington, D.C.

King County

King County's Wastewater Treatment Division earned awards from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies for compliance with stringent state and federal pollutant removal requirements for discharges. The South Treatment Plant in Renton and the Vashon Treatment Plant each received the Platinum Peak Performance Award, which honors multiple consecutive years of compliance within effluent limits. The Renton plant has been compliant for 25 years and the Vashon plant for 12 years.

Estes Builders

Sequim-based Estes Builders recently built its 500th custom home. The company was formed 30 years ago by Kevin Estes, a third-generation builder, in his parents' laundry room. It has a staff of 15 and builds 25 homes a year in Clallam, Jefferson and Kitsap counties.

Okroy

Chris Okroy founded Detroit Northwest, a Seattle-based digital media agency. Okroy started his career in Detroit with agency work at Starcom and Campbell Ewald. He moved to Seattle four years ago and worked at Add3, a digital agency on Capitol Hill.

Puget Sound Regional Council

The Puget Sound Regional Council's General Assembly elected Pierce County Executive Bruce Dammeier as president and King County council member Claudia Balducci as vice president. PSRC develops policies and coordinates decisions about regional growth, economic development and transportation planning.

Alpine Immune Sciences

In Seattle, Alpine Immune Sciences appointment Dr. Wayne Gombotz as chief technology officer. Gombotz has over 30 years of experience in biotech and pharmaceuticals, most recently as chief development officer at Immune Design. Alpine uses immunotherapy to treat cancer, autoimmune/inflammatory and other diseases.

Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf inked a deal with Nestle USA to appear in a series of digital ads and social media content for Nesquik's flavored milk products. Metcalf was recently drafted by the Seahawks and has an affinity for strawberry flavored milk.
