Korean Women's Association

The Korean Women's Association (KWA) announced the opportunity for students to apply for a scholarship to support achievement of their post-secondary educational goals. To qualify for a KWA scholarship, you must be a resident of Washington state as a citizen or a permanent legal resident; be accepted for college or trade school; meet student status requirements for specific awards: enrolled as a full-time, undergraduate student in a degree-granting or trade school program or expecting to graduate this year from high school and enroll in a full-time undergraduate degree-granting or trade school program or completing a two-year college or trade program and; demonstrate financial need. Tanium

Kirkland-based Tanium, a provider of endpoint management and security for IT environments, has been named to FORTUNE Magazine's 2021 list of Best Large Workplaces for Millennials. This marks Tanium's second consecutive appearance overall, and first in the large company category. The Best Workplaces for Millennials award is based on analysis of survey responses from more than 5.3 million current employees. Using analytics and confidential employee feedback, Great Place to Work selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age and disability status. Since March 2020, Tanium has added nearly 1000 employees, bringing its global headcount to 2,000 employees. The company decentralized its operations, with full-time employees now working in 48 of the 50 US states.

MOD Pizza

MOD Super Fast Pizza Holdings has added Jill Golder to its board of directors. Golder is a current board member of ABM Industries, where she serves on the audit and governance committees and of IZEA Worldwide, where she chairs the audit committee and serves on the governance committee. Golder most recently served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. Prior to this role, Golder was executive vice president and chief financial officer at Ruby Tuesday and was chief financial officer at Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurants. MOD Pizza was founded in Seattle in 2008 by Scott and Ally Svenson. MOD currently has more than 500 locations system-wide across 28 states and Canada.

Jones Soda

Jones Soda announced that it has issued a $2 million unsecured convertible debenture to SOL Global Investments (SOL) and has entered into a non-binding term sheet with Pinestar Gold, a Canadian reporting issuer, and SOL. Jones intends to use the proceeds for transaction costs and the expansion of Jones' business to the production and sale of cannabis-containing beverages, edibles and related products. Jones intends to operate its planned cannabis operations through one or more subsidiaries that are separate from its craft beverage business. The proposed transactions are subject to approval by both the shareholders of Pinestar and the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Headquartered in Seattle, Jones markets and distributes premium craft beverages under the Jones Soda and Lemoncocco brands.

Fortive

Fortive announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Bayard Capital and Accel Partners to acquire ServiceChannel, a global provider of SaaS-based multi-site facilities maintenance service solutions. Fortive anticipates that the acquisition will close in the third quarter of 2021. ServiceChannel was founded in 1999 and serves more than 500 enterprise customers in over 70 countries, while also maintaining an integrated network of more than 70,000 facilities maintenance service providers. Fortive expects ServiceChannel to generate approximately $125 million of revenue in 2021. The purchase price is $1.2 billion. ServiceChannel is expected to be an independent operating company within Fortive's Intelligent Operating Solutions segment. Fortive, a provider of technologies for connected workflow solutions across a range of end-markets, is headquartered in Everett and employs a team of more than 17,000 research and development, manufacturing, sales, distribution, service and administrative employees in more than 50 countries around the world.

ZoomInfo

Vancouver-based ZoomInfo, a global provider of go-to-market software, data and intelligence, announced it has agreed to acquire Chorus.ai, a leader in Conversation Intelligence. Chorus uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to capture and analyze prospect and customer calls, meetings, and emails. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in San Francisco, Chorus has 14 granted patents. Under the terms of the agreement, ZoomInfo agreed to acquire the assets and specified liabilities of Chorus for approximately $575 million in an all-cash transaction, which includes a cash tax benefit related to the asset purchase of over $100 million. The purchase price will be funded with cash on hand and $500 million in additional financing. Morgan Stanley is serving as financial advisor to ZoomInfo, and Lane Powell and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett are serving as legal counsel. In conjunction with the acquisition, Chris Hays has been promoted to president and chief operating officer, and Nir Keren has been promoted to president, Israel and chief technology officer. Hays, who joined ZoomInfo in 2016, is based in the company's Waltham, Massachusetts office. Keren joined ZoomInfo in 2015 and is based in the company's Ra'anana, Israel office.

PotlatchDeltic

PotlatchDeltic appointed Ashlee Cribb as vice president, wood products effective July 28. Cribb succeeds Tom Temple, who will be retiring later this year. Most recently, Cribb served as the senior vice president, chief commercial officer at Roseburg Forest Products in Springfield, Oregon, and prior to that held leadership roles in Roseburg's Structural Products business. Temple will be retiring in October of 2021 after serving as vice president, wood products since 2009. PotlatchDeltic is a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) headquartered in Spokane that owns approximately 1.8 million acres of timberlands. Through its taxable REIT subsidiary, the company also operates six sawmills, an industrial-grade plywood mill, a residential and commercial real estate development business and a rural timberland sales program.

The Standard

Portland-based Standard Insurance has promoted Jeremy Horner to vice president of individual disability insurance and the Business Transformation Office. Horner joined The Standard in 2009 and has held various leadership roles in corporate accounting and IDI, most recently serving as assistant vice president of IDI. In his new role, Horner will continue to lead IDI and add responsibility for the newly formed Business Transformation Office, which provides expertise to accelerate business strategies and continuous improvement efforts across the company. Horner is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University.

Kochava

Kochava, a real-time data solutions company for omni-channel attribution and measurement, announced two new executive appointments. Nicolas Beraudo will serve as the new chief revenue officer and Bryce Kliewer as the new chief operating officer. Beraudo most recently he served as the CRO for Realgood, and prior to that as the executive vice president of worldwide sales and later managing director of EMEA for App Annie. Kliewer spent more than six years at Oracle leading the project management office, operations, and enterprise product management. Previously he spent over three years at Datalogix as the vice president of operations and client analytics. Kochava is headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, and has offices globally.
