Seattle-based Global Diving & Salvage opened a new facility in northeast Houston. The property has 2,000 square feet of office space and 20,000 square feet of warehouse space. The new branch will allow Global to support its existing and future offshore energy clients in the Gulf of Mexico. Bruce Humberstone is manager of the company's gulf operations.
Employees of Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. in Monroe donated more than 500 pounds of food and nearly $4,000 to the Sky Valley Food Bank. For the past 10 years, the company has conducted its own food drive to benefit needy families in Snohomish County. The most recent donation was made in time for Thanksgiving.

Ronald Cook and Robert Hart were named managing partners at United Tile. The two have worked with United Chairman Ken Wiedemann for more than 17 years. Cook focuses on sales and marketing, while Hart is in charge of finance and operations. Cook has more than 30 years of industry experience; Hart holds an MBA from Pepperdine University. United distributes tile and other building materials through four locations in Washington and Oregon. Cook works in the Renton office, while Hart and Wiedemann work in the Portland office.
Bellevue's Lagotek hired Phil Herres as chief executive officer. Eugene Luskin, former CEO, is remaining as chairman and chief technology officer. Herres has more than 25 years of senior management experience, including a role as chief operating officer at Aldus prior to its merger with Adobe Systems. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Gonzaga University and an MBA from the University of Oregon. Lagotek develops and markets energy-saving building and home automation systems.
