Mayes Testing Engineers

Wheeler

Mayes Testing Engineers hired Christina Wheeler as marketing coordinator. Wheeler has three years of marketing experience and holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Washington. She is responsible for coordinating proposals, business development, company communications and internal marketing programs. Mayes has offices and labs in Seattle, Tacoma and Portland.

Nate Wilcox joined PSF Mechanical as project executive. Wilcox has 22 years of experience in HVAC design, engineering, estimating, project management and client relations. Seattle-based PSF specializes in design-build projects in life sciences, high-tech and Class A office facilities.

Skoler Building Resources

Koehler

Skoler Building Resources hired Zak Koehler as technical specialist for commercial roofing. Koehler worked for the past seven years at Firestone Building Products as a roof systems advisor and training services manager. At Skoler, he is serving as a technical resource and assisting with roof design to meet job specifications and manufacturer's warranty requirements. He holds a master's degree in engineering management. Seattle-based Skoler is an independent representative specializing in low-slope roofing, tapered insulation, metal products and green roof systems for commercial buildings.

Swinerton Builders

Swinerton Builders named Jeffrey Hoopes chief executive officer and Gary Rafferty president. Michael Re, former CEO, will remain as chairman through the end of the year. Hoopes, a 30-year construction veteran, joined Swinerton in 1984 as a project engineer. Rafferty, formerly executive vice president, will continue to oversee the company's general construction operations as chief operating officer. He has been with Swinerton since 1985. The company's management team is rounded out by executive vice presidents Frank Foellmer and Eric Foster. Swinerton is a 125-year-old company with offices in California, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, Colorado and Texas. Its local office is in Bellevue.

PlanB Consultancy International

Lake Oswego, Ore.-based owner's representative PlanB Consultancy International added John Buffaloe as business manager, Leanne LeGare as lead electrical estimator, Brittany Calder as project coordinator and Sarah Disbrow as office manager. Buffaloe is responsible for global finance and accounting, as well as managing the human resources department. He has a background in public accounting, sales and marketing, and international business relations. He is a CPA in Oregon. PlanB provides cost and project management services.

Shea

Walsh Construction Co. promoted Tim Shea and Joe Patton to assistant superintendents. Shed interned with Walsh in 2008 and joined the company in 2009 as a project engineer. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington. Patton joined Walsh in 2006 as a journeyman carpenter, and most recently was a carpenter foreman. Their new duties involve project documentation, labor supervision, schedules, quality inspections, and coordination of subcontractors, field supervisors and field employees. Walsh has offices in Seattle, Tacoma and Portland.

Eight joined Mortenson's local operations: Rick Lindsay is a superintendent in the Seattle office; Brent Slama is a senior project manager in the Seattle office; Greg Goebel is a field engineer assigned to the Puyallup Correctional Facility; John Weber is part of the estimating team; Kyle Jung is an assistant equipment facility manager at the Woodinville equipment yard; John McKenna is an assistant project manager; Joshua Jackson is a field engineer on the Touchstone Hill7 development in Seattle; and James Cromwell is an assistant superintendent at the Chambers Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant project in University Place. Lindsay is working on a data center in Quincy. Goebel and Weber are recent graduates of the University of Washington construction management program. McKenna is working on the Hill7 development. Jackson recently graduated from Brigham Young University–Idaho with a bachelor's degree in construction management.

Skanska

Skanska USA promoted Mary Brown to human resources service coordinator for the West Coast. The company also hired Zach Wasielewski as senior project engineer, Rick Bisol as field engineer, and Jamie Armintrout, Shelby Borg and Nate Messner as project engineers. Based in Skanska's Seattle office, Brown is supporting the company's personnel in Washington and Oregon, and is also providing HR services for Skanska's Aviation Center of Excellence.

Bay Shore Systems

Bay Shore Systems signed an agreement with Davey Kent of Kent, Ohio, for exclusive sales rights to Davey Drill products in all states west of the Mississippi. Rathdrum, Idaho-based Bay Shore makes, sells and services drilling equipment for the foundation and geotechnical construction industries.
