In Seattle, Lease Crutcher Lewis hired Owen Mayfield as accounting manager; Rayann Su as accounting specialist; Eric Pate as senior project engineer; and Matt Trout, Jay Wyrick and Clayton Clark as project engineers. Mayfield, a CPA, has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance. Su has 11 years of accounting expertise and recently earned a bachelor's in business administration from the University of Washington Bothell. Pate has seven years of industry experience and is working on a residential project at Capitol Hill Station. Trout interned at Lewis in 2016 before earning a bachelor's in construction management from Central Washington University. Wyrick recently completed a bachelor's in civil engineering at Washington State University. Clark has been working locally for about 18 months and holds a bachelor's in civil engineering from the University of Connecticut.

In Seattle, The Walsh Group hired Doug Whitted as senior superintendent and Melissa Peck as project accountant. Whitted comes from JTM Construction in Seattle. He joined the carpenters' union apprenticeship in 1987 and worked as a journeyman, construction surveyor, part-time apprenticeship instructor and superintendent. Peck comes from Flatiron, where she worked with project controls. She is on the Tacoma Link extension project.

Seattle-based general contractor Pennon Construction named project managers Eric Dormaier, Spencer Franks and Mac Sele as future leaders of the company. The three have a collective tenure at Pennon of over 45 years, with key roles in client services and company operations over the past decade. Pennon works in the industrial, low- to mid-rise office, tenant improvement and retail markets in the Puget Sound region.

U.S. Department of Energy

Doug Shoop retired as manager of the Richland Operations Office after 20 years with the U.S. Department of Energy. Brian Vance is the temporary acting field manager for the office, as well as for the Office of River Protection. Vance will coordinate the two offices and their contractors as Hanford gears up for low-level tank waste treatment by 2023.
