Historic Tacoma will hold a free event celebrating the city's historic architecture from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 5 in the Tacoma Armory at South 11th Street and South Yakima Avenue.
The event is part of Tacoma's Art at Work Month, and is also Historic Tacoma's annual membership reception and meeting.
There will be an exhibit by Earthwise Architectural Salvage and a presentation on the armory, which was built in 1908.
Historic Tacoma said Fred Roberson recently bought the armory, and is seeking ideas from the community on how to redevelop it. He will attend the event.
