In Portland, ZGF Architects promoted to principal Chris Flint Chatto, Kristin Crain, Ellen Gyllstrom, Toby Hasselgren, Solvei Neiger, Doug Sams, Bob Snyder, David Staczek and Peter van der Meulen. Chatto has 12 years of experience on projects and specializes in high-performance buildings. His recent work includes Fifth + Columbia Tower in Seattle. Crain has 15-plus years of experience in marketing, business development and public relations in architecture and design. She is director of marketing for ZGF's Portland office and has worked for Google and Nike. Gyllstrom has been with ZGF for 22 years, supporting its managing partner, serving as liaison for partner and management communication, coordinating corporate donations, planning events, and managing administrative staff. Hasselgren has 18 years of design experience that includes higher education, corporate and health care projects. Neiger has 25 years of experience on institutional and health care projects, including Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel in Portland. Sams has been an architect for more than 30 years, working in the health care, institutional, commercial and aviation sectors. Snyder has 23 years of experience as an architect and project manager on projects that include corporate, industrial, hotel, housing, health care, research, higher eduction and sports. Staczek has 21 years of experience that includes office buildings, corporate interiors, retail spaces, pedestrian bridges, health care facilities, U.S. embassies and multimodal centers. Van der Meulen is an architect with 34 years of experience in designing academic, research, commercial and government projects, including work for the U.S. State Department.
