Welcome back, Westlake Park

Photos via Sellen [enlarge]

Westlake Park reopened last week following a $4 million renovation.

The refreshed park has new seating, landscaping, and more areas to support games, music, food trucks, and events, including a larger performance stage.

Granite salvaged from a sculptural fountain and arch removed during the renovation has been reused in planter beds and concrete walls.

Seattle Parks and Recreation and Seattle Parks Foundation spearheaded and funded the renovation.

Berger Partnership was the landscape architect. Sellen was the general contractor.
