Starting July 1, Seattle construction and demolition projects will need waste diversion plans

  • The city's goal is to recycle 70 percent of construction waste by 2020. Landfill no-no's next year include carpet, plastic film, clean wood and asphalt shingles.

    The city of Seattle's new rules on what to do with construction and demolition waste don't come as a shock to David Walsh, a project manager at Sellen Sustainability.
