Saltchuk, a Seattle freight transportation and distribution company, said it has been recognized by Ethisphere Institute, an independent center promoting best practices in corporate ethics and governance, as one of the world's most ethical companies for 2014. This is the first time that Saltchuk has been considered for this award. It is one of three companies in the transportation and logistics industry to be honored this year. Companies are scored in five categories: ethics and compliance programs, reputation, leadership and innovation, governance, corporate citizenship, and the culture of ethics.
