Expeditors International

Expeditors International of Washington said Peter J. Rose, past CEO and chairman of the board, has resigned as both chairman and a member of the board. Robert R. Wright is the new chairman. He has been the company's lead independent director since May 2010. Wright is president and CEO of Matthew G. Norton Co., a real estate investment, development and management firm in Seattle. The board adopted a policy in 2012 requiring the CEO and chairman roles be split. Expeditors also said Rommel C. Saber, president of the Europe, Africa, Near/Middle East, and Indian Subcontinent region, will retire in 2015.
